If it is too good to be true, Don't believe it!

My Rig got infected last night by this Virus named JD0717.dll.vbs
sad to say, my McAfee 8.5i fails to detect it although it is updated with patch8 with the latest dat available.

Got this virus from my Friend's rig a week ago via my usb flash disk..
it turns all the folder in my flash disk to be corrupted and become .exe files..
all movies and musics became 10kb.  Grin Evil Grin

in some PC you can view this virus file named as Nude SSG Sex Scandal.dll.vbs

in good side of McAfee, it just limits this virus from Major Infection on my PC..
still, all my files are all intact and functional..

Symptoms when you are infected by this virus is when you cannot access you're drive folders. for example since i have 2 drives in my pc, i can't open my drive C: and drive D: unless you explore it.

It also put a comment in the header of your Internet Explorer with "Mabuhay ang mga Daquer!"
This virus are made here in the Philippines. "Mabuhay ang mga Daquer" means "Long Live Daquer!" in english..
I personally don't know who the hell Daquer is. hehehe!

By the way i still stick from McAfee cause i think as long as i have it, i am still be protected not absolutely but majorly.

Good thing guys, i have stopped this trojan using Tune Up Utilities 2009  Police..by turning off this program on my start up program and creating a new restore points, with some help of registry restoration tools.  thumbsup

@ duomaxwell22

Thank you for info.  thumbsup

But I'll also suggest you double check with some of Online Antiviruses (maybe Kaspersky and Symantec):
