I really don't defrag much anymore.  With Vista and 7, you can schedule it to run when your computer is idle, which is great.  XP didn't have this feature without 3rd party software.

It all depends on how much downloading/deleting/changing you do of files.  If you just browse the net without downloading much, then you probably don't need to do it too often.  I would set CCleaner up to clean at startup though.

I have been fixing computers for many years, since the larger hard drives have came out the reason for defrag has gone away.  In the olden days you would have to defrag you computer quite often because of the small storage space.  I have not defraged a computer in 3 years and the performance is still as good as it was the day I installed all the software.  If you want to know how much I use of my computer, the only time my computer reboots is after a windows update.  It hasn't been powered off (unless i was in the process of moving to a new home or upgrading parts) in almost a year.  So I have to agree with Samker on this, defrag only if you are seeing a slow down.
