Hi Friends,

A suggestion required from al of you.Is it okay to enable my Windows firewall if I have Norton anti virus?Because every time I try to enable my Windows firewall, I get a message from Norton saying that their program already has a firewall and using Windows firewall may "cause conflicts"...what does that even mean?

You "have" conflict because a both FW are trying to do the same job. The conflict may cause an otherwise good Internet connection to drop and some other PC problems...

Norton firewall is very good, so you don't need windows version (by the way, windows firewall is not so good... Wink )

If you are behind NAT or router and you have 3rd party firewall then Windows Firewall is not necessary.

You got a right about this (antivirus - firewall) thumbsup , but "low tech" people mostly use word "antivirus" for all kind of Security protection. In this case, I think that "Abbot" have Norton Internet Security.
Same situation is with malwares (viruses, trojan, worms, spyware...), commonly people use word "virus" for every of them.
