Hi Guys and Gals,

Just a quick note in regards to the McAfee Desktop Firewall Replacement, McAfee HIPS V7. I have just found out (Luckliy in the Test Enviroment) that if you try to run McAfee Virusscan v8.7 alongside McAfee HIPS v7 it wont update via a web/network method it has to have a forced update via the EPO server/agent.

Which is really wierd, because anyone who runs VirusScan v8.5 Patch 8 + Hotfix alongside McAfee HIPS v7 can update the HIPS core files via the web Update method withought any problems..

There is no solution at the Moment as far as I can tell but if that chnage please let me know and we can post an update here. Admittedly it prob wont affect the general public unless your running corp software of course!!

WHICH MANAGEMENT CONSOLE U R USING.. AND HOW MUCH CLIENTS R THERE..
R U UPGRADED THE CLIENTS AV FROM 8.0 OR  8.5  TO 8.7I
