My android notification settings is malfunctioning?
I go to my sound settings, go to press the "Notification ringtone" option and it freezes then says there was an error and I have to foreclose it.

My phone is an US Cellular Samsung Galaxy.

Can anybody tell me what I can do to fix this?

Have you asked about any cell phone forum on this issue? They may know the reason why it happens!....  
If the matter can not survive that way so....
You must change it to NOKIA's phone...

It's a little blunt, but have you tried restarting the phone?
