Safe way to find drivers would be to use the hardware ID and go to this site http://pcidatabase.com/

open Device Manager, right-click on the listing for the Unknown Device, select Properties from the context menu, and then click on the Details tab at the top of the resulting window.

On the Details tab, you’ll see a drop down menu labeled “Property”. The items listed in that drop down menu will offer up a wealth of information about the mysterious device. Select Hardware IDs from the drop down menu and the “Value” field below will populate with a list of values.

SLIMDRIVERS Sometimes Installs Drivers Older Than The Ones Already Installed.

...

That is the main reason why I avoid using these type of programs... sometimes they do more harm than a good.  >:(

Whenever I Want Software I Go To The VERSIONTRACKER DOWNLOAD CNET Site, Check The Original Developer Site And See If I Can Get The Most Recent Version.

SLIMDRIVERS Sometimes Installs Drivers Older Than The Ones Already Installed.

It Is The Only Utility I Remember Using, And I Have Not Used It In A Long Time.

Thank You For The Tip.

Hello,

In Terms Of Drivers, You Can Have Two Types Of Devices:

A - "First World" - They Have Already Some Driver Installed,

B - "Third World" - They Have None Installed Yet, And You Are Clueless Where To Get Even A Generic One.

There Are Several Utilities That ( Better Or Worse ) Help You Update The ( A ) Type With The Latest Drivers.

Is There An Equivalent Utility To Help You Find A Generic Good Enough Driver For The ( B ) Type, Finally Promoting That Device To The ( A ) Type World ?

Thank You.
