Easiest way to optimize your system
« on: 28. February 2009., 05:49:52 »
Tweaking manually for a faster systems is actually not a good practice! Unexpertise of some people doing these things to their PC's may end up to an unstable system or may experience "BSoD" (Blue-Screen of Death) "SOLUTION: RE-INSTALL WINDOWS". Yuck!

But here is a simple way i would like to share in optimizing your PCs:

SpybotSD + UniBlue RegistryBooster

SpybotSD operates to search for unwanted spyware, malware, adware, virus, and likely fix your registry.

RegistryBooster intends to clean/fix your registry from errors, invalid entries and unwanted entries. RegistryBooster also defrag your registry after a clean/fix.

I do the following to my laptops and PCs;

 . CCleaner set as startup for auto-cleaning of cookies, history, temp files etc.
 . Explorer's windows effects turned off
 . Disabled unused startups and services
 . Use Defraggler to defrag the HDD every weekends

and it seems they run fast but I will give a try the app you've suggested  :thumbsup:

This two are recommended by SCF Community and yes they're both compatible with Vista:
