Disabling guest posting?
« on: 14. January 2017., 12:34:41 »
Just curious, is there any chance that guest posting can be disabled? Maybe it just me but I see quite a few people posting in the giveaway topics without creating an account.

Also will guest posts be deleted?

Yes, it's possible to disable guest posting but We'll not do that... also, they won't be deleted.

Generally, the most similar forums have common problem with visitors which like to read content but they don't to participate in community life (related discussion: http://scforum.info/index.php?topic=12294.msg33369#msg33369 )... on this way it's easier for new visitors to "make a first steps". (Also for us - SCforum's staff, that's a big challenge - to prevent and block SPAM attacks.)

Of course, unregistered members can't win any prize (if that isn't strictly permitted by rules), for example: http://scforum.info/index.php?topic=11752.msg31901#msg31901 :police:

P.S.

Regarding your report from Today - "mentioned" guy is Administrator @P2D - because of that, from now on, He also have VIP status.

With Quick-Reply you can write a post when viewing a topic without loading a new page. You can still use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post.
