I Do Not Remember What Was The Default, And With The New BIOS(es) I Do Not Even Know, But It Was Possible To Halt The Computer On Several Hardware Errors And With These 2 Options, At Least:

A - No Errors Allowed,

B - Skip Keyboard Errors And Continue...

I Have Lots Of Old Motherboards Somewhere, But Mounting Them Is A Pain, Because I Do Not Have A Proper Laboratory For These Kinds Of Experiments ( I Would Need An Extra Room For That, Among Many Many Many Other Sweet Things ).

Cheers.

Well, let's see how it goes for HDD disconection. Sometimes, if you boot with a CD on the optical drive the Bios takes longer to see if the CD is bootable, that's another option

True, I Have Forgotten That.

If You Have USB Boot Enabled, Any USB Storage Device Can Trigger That Same Procedure.

Cheers.

Removing of the HDD, all USB devices and CD/DVD must lled to BIOS.

I cant imagin, why a OS update should change the BIOS/UEFI reaction. So, i guess, he just don't hit the right timing.

After updating to Windows 10 Pro [Anniversary Update], I needed to access BIOS on my Desktop. I have done this many times without any problem in Windows 7 Pro. Now, when I repeat-press DEL key on Start-up, nothing happens and the PC hangs.Has anybody faced this problem and solved it?

Hi P. & Welcome back to SCF Community. :bih:

Someone Said, If You Have To Explain A Joke, Then The Joke Is Not That Good, But I Will Have A Go At It.

---

**Keyboard Error - Press F1 To Continue**

If The Keyboard Is Not Working, What Am I Going To Accomplish By Pressing F1 ?

---

I Am 59, By The Way.

Cheers.

Well, that's the problem... your PC is too fast to boot. Be sure to add a POST Delay of 10 secs when you enter BIOS :p

LOL!!

I thought that 'keyboard error' does not necessarily mean the 'keyboard is not working'. Pressing F1 may take you to Help Screen (jumbled thoughts of a geriatric mind)!

I am 78, By the way!!

Thanks all the same.
