I think you must use Registry Fix software. Registry Fix provides numerous options to us, by the way of which they can optimize their PCs as per their requirements. With this, you can select certain portions of your system or check out for specific problems.

Reinstalling the operating system will solve the problem of 'having virus' and 'DVD driver' and possibly other issues.
That's my way by the way.

1. you can download the dll for free in the net.
2. but it is better to copy it back from a good working xp.
3. look from you installer disk if this is a seperate driver file.
4. look also on your xp installtion disk.

Hi, if you have access to another PC, copy the missing file from a Windows install CD onto a USB memory stick and then take that to the computer that's missing the file and copy it back on.

Hi Sue.  :)

I think that your problem is related to losing driver for your DVD writer.

Please provide me information about version of your writer and what device manager say about them (all possible info.).

I'll wait for your reply.

Regards,

 :(

Hi there,

First i would like to say thanks for replying to my last problem, i think i have fixed that one for now...i hope.

I bought an antivirus program called Avast and its helped to clean out all those little bugs i had, only now my dvd writer won't work. I have checked the Device Manager and i seem to be missing a file, one that seems to be rather important.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\incdrm.sys

Can anyone tell me where i can find this file to download because without it i can't load anything from a CD.

Thanks for your time...

Sue.  :-*
