Be ware of one thing regarding this Servicepack if you have not activating Office prior installation of the Servicepack 2.

"click the image to make it larger"

"Unable to activate after Service Pack 2 for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB2687455) is deployed"

Error message when you try to activate Office 2010: "An unspecified error has occurred. Your request cannot be processed at this time. (0x80070001)

Symptoms
When you try to activate Office 2010, you may receive the following error message:

An unspecified error has occurred. Your request cannot be processed at this time. Please try again later. (0x80070001)

Solution

Let me fix it myself
To resolve this issue, please do the following:

  1. On the Start menu, click Run, and then type regedit.
  2. In the Registry Editor, search for the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\CONTROL\CLASS\{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
  3. Look for UpperFilters, which is type REG_MULTI_SZ.
  4. Double-click UpperFilters, and then under Value data, add PartMgr to the top of the list. Click OK.
  5. Restart the computer.
  6. Start any Office 2010 application and follow the prompts to activate.

You can also automate the process of adding this registry key, by running the following command on the run line:

reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\CONTROL\CLASS\{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} /v UPPERFILTERS /t REG_MULTI_SZ /d PartMgr /f
