Including pdf? Will be hard to find an OS without *an* Adobe port available... I think IBM's OS400 still is Adobe-free? ;p

Luckily / Sadly iOS** & Androïd* are Flash-less. Especially on Androïd companies now have to make their own "custom" flash-app (BBC iPlayer*** for example is just a re-wrapped flash engine). HTML5 should fix all this, but (private opinion) as long as they do not finalize the standard, it won't catch on. And it still hasn't. And those that do, suck :(

When it comes to virii... Biggest animal gets the most mosquitoes? ;p

Do I like flash? No. But silverlight support is even worse - many Silverlight sites just do not work (properly) on Opera, for example. So yeah, flash me**** then pretty please ;>

And on Androïd / iOS I really HATE the drop in flash-support. It will be a reason to get something else when my SGiii dies... Win 9 phone maybe? We shall see!

Karma

Guys, what do you think, is there any PC "Around a Globe" which doesn't have at least one software application from Adobe ??

IMO, there is not...  ::)

Quote
"Adobe Systems Incorporated, is an American multinational computer software company headquartered in San Jose, California, United States. The company has historically focused upon the creation of multimedia and creativity software products, with a more-recent foray towards rich Internet application software development.

Adobe was founded in December 1982 by John Warnock and Charles Geschke, who established the company after leaving Xerox PARC in order to develop and sell the PostScript page description language. In 1985, Apple Computer licensed PostScript for use in its LaserWriter printers, which helped spark the desktop publishing revolution. The company name Adobe comes from Adobe Creek in Los Altos, California, which ran behind the houses of both of the company's founders. Adobe acquired its former competitor, Macromedia, in December 2005, which added newer software products and platforms such as ColdFusion, Dreamweaver, Flash and Flex to its product portfolio.

As of 2010, Adobe Systems has 9,117 employees, about 40% of whom work in San Jose. Adobe also has major development operations in Orlando; Seattle; San Francisco; Lehi, Utah; Minneapolis; Waltham, Massachusetts; and San Luis Obispo, California in the United States; Ottawa, Canada; Hamburg, Germany; Noida and Bangalore, India; Bucharest, Romania; Basel, Switzerland; and Beijing, China."

But on the other side it's also (IMO, with Microsoft) company with biggest problems with hackers which crack its programs on every step... in most cases they use "cracks, keygens etc." to spread new types of malware through PC users which don't want to pay for softwares.  :thumbsdown:

P.S.

Related to this problem, if you want to save some money, my advice is to use Free Apps but if you really need to buy software from Adobe use some site with promotional coupons, for example - Adobe Coupon Code.
