Me And My MCAFEE Badmouthing.

It Is Possible To Configure It To Block And / Or Report Files From Being Executed From The Temp Folders.

I ASSumed All Versions Had The Same Defaults - Apparently They Do Not.

Time Will Tell.

Cheers.

It's no wonder it failed with XP, as it is EOL

@F

Sorry,

If You Look At My Avatar Area, You Will Understand This:

---

It Failed With XP 32 PRO, The OS I Am Still Using.

---

My Experience With OSs After XP Is Really Limited.

Until Now, I Have Not Yet Tested RP6 With VISTA Or Any Newer OS.

Sorry.

W10 Compliant ( ? ) RP6 Failed Me, Today.

Although It Logged An Attempt To Run Programs From The Temp Folders:

A - It Did Not Warn Me, By Turning Red The Background Of The Lower Right Icon,

B - It Allowed Their Execution - A Big NONO.

---

I Downgraded To Version RP5.

Will Downgrade Further, If Necessary.

Will Post Here Again, If There Are Any Relevant Issues.

Cheers.

Sorry, As I Said Above, I Had Some Hardware Problem On My Previous Machine.

A Faulty CPU, Or Something - I Will Only Know If This Machine Also Kicks The Bucket - Knock On Wood.

Thank You.

something that works for me when mcafee behaves weirdly is to uninstall it through the control panel, restart pc and reinstall it.

....

I Think What I Know As *RP* Is Also Known As *Patch*.

...

I Really Do Not Know What The *RP* Stands For.

...

As I know, "RP" stands for Repost - This is the full install with the integrated patch (for example: VSE880RP5.Zip), We use them for fresh installs where there is no VSE.

The VSE880P5.zip file is just the Patch used for VSE upgrades.

...

No longer about that worthwhile to pass on, because you have clarified where it belongs!

You're right F., "case RP" closed.  :)
