Title: COMPANIES UPDATES: GOOGLE.
Post by: A41202813GMAIL on 24. January 2017., 23:48:42
The Old GOOGLE+ GUI Is Lost Forever ( ? ).

The New GUI Is Slower And Lacks Some Old Features.

As Usual, Some Features That Remain, Are Spread In Completely Different Locations, So You Have To Chase The Hyperactive Cat - Over And Over And Over, Once And Again.

Cheers.

Depends on the browser, the new UI should be based on Angular :p

I Tested OPERA15+, CHROME And FF.

The Old GUI Is Gone In All 3 Of Them.

Cheers.

Can Anyone Confirm This ?

---

I Use XP32PRO And M$OFFICE$OUTLOOK2003PRO.

In The Last 2 Days, I Can Not Send All Emails That I Was Usually Sending.

I Receive 700+ Emails Per Day, But I Can Not Respond To All Of Them, Now.

Are Sending Emails Limited To About 100 Per Day, Now ?

So Much For Having An AutoResponder, Then.

Thank You.

FYI, here you have GMAIL's limitations: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/22839?hl=en

Quote
"You have reached a limit for sending mail"

You may see this message if you send an email to more than 500 recipients in a single email, or send more than 500 emails in a day.

When you get this error, you should be able to send mails again within 1 to 24 hours.

In The Last 3 Months, While I Was In Professional Training, I Deactivated My AutoResponder ( AR ) To Save Some Of The Small Free Time I Had.

Now, Everything Is Back To Business As Usual, And My ( AR ) Is Not More Busy Than It Was Back Then, So Something Has Definitely Changed.

My Bet On A New Limit Of Around 100 Emails Per Day Is Still On.

Thank You.

Hmmm... maybe you're right, there is that kind of limitation for "sending from a desktop email client": http://group-mail.com/sending-email/email-sending-limits-for-isp-web-hosting-and-free-email-providers/

Quote
Google Gmail Email Sending Limit

– 500 emails per day when sending from their web interface
– 100 emails per day when sending from a desktop email client
– 10mb per message

It Just Happened, Again - Definitively Not A Coincidence.

As Long As I Do Not Send More Emails ( And I Do Not ) Than Those That I Receive, Why The Freaking Limitation ?

Some Companies Are Just Desperate To Screw The Internet We Used To Know.

Sigh...

Sorry, None Of Your 3 Lines Is Correct.

The First Time I Encountered This Problem:

A - I Tried The Web Interface, And It Blocked Me, Too,

B - The Number Is Bigger Than 100, But Not Much More,

C - I Sent An Attachment Of 20MB+ A Few Days Later, And It Worked.

Thank You.

Well, that is very strange... Apart from the fact that in the first case it is a valid source (I provide link from the G.), right now I have two things on my mind:

- That you have some problem in settings (Outlook ??), which is strange, since I suppose that you have not changed anything

- That you might have some "worm" on PC that silently send emails from Mail client, few examples:
   - https://threats.kaspersky.com/en/threat/Email-Worm.VBS.Decbel/
   - https://www.f-secure.com/v-descs/sober.shtml

If you want to exclude (my) second possibility, I recommend: http://scforum.info/index.php?topic=734.0

P.S.

FYI, I checked logs before few minutes & I saw two (AR) mails from you sent Today
on 00:56 & 21:32 (CET)

There Is A Third Choice:

A - GOOGLE Should Have The Same Defaults For Every Freaking ISP On Earth,

B - Sorry, Limiting Emails Depending On ISP Is Just Plain Stupid, And,

C - I Bet, With So Many Different Defaults, They Do Not Know Exactly What They Are Doing - Really Sad.

---

Besides, The Sending Emails Feature Should Work Always, Or Not Work At All ( You Guys, Helped Me Twice In The Past With This Problem ).

Receiving Email Is No Problem, But The Sending Part Stops After 100, Or So.

---

Any Machine Is OK, As Long As There Are No Rogue Processes Running On The Task Manager, And If You Bother To Read My XP HOLDOUTS BIBLE, You Will See That I Took The Necessary Steps For That Not To Happen.

In Fact, I Am So Confident There Is No MalWare Running On My Machine ( Except For Some M$ Crap ), That I Would Be Prepared To Eat Something Really Nasty.

Thank You.

Check The Second Link Provided By @S - It Is More Detailed.

Not Even Close To 500.

I Use A Desktop With XP, OFFICE(OUTLOOK)2003, And My Main Mail Account Is GOOGLEMAIL.

Thank You.

The only thing I can think of is your account beign flagged as a spam sender... does anybody you know and send mails to have problems with your mails going to spam?

The Questions Are:

A - Am I Doing Something Different Now Than 4 Months Ago ? - No,

B - Am I Receiving More Emails Now Than 4 Months Ago ? - No,

C - Am I Sending More Emails Now Than 4 Months Ago ? - No.

---

Since I Can Not Remember When, I Always Have Used The Features Of The OUTLOOK2003 ( O3 ) AutoResponder.

I Send An **Automatic Thank You Reply** Email To Every Single Address That Emails Me ( @S Just Said He Did Receive A Couple Of Them A Few Days Ago - Please, Have A Look ).

If ( O3 ) Receives 2 Or More Emails From The Same Address, In A Short Period Of Time, It AutoResponds Only To The Very First One Of Them ( There Is A Rule In Place To Avoid Severe Loops, But, Unfortunately, I Do Not Know The Exact Rules ) - And So, I Send 2 Or 3 Hundred Emails A Day Against The 7+ Hundred That I Receive.

Like I Said, Being Penalized For Sending A Lot Less Emails Than Those That I Receive, Is Plain Stupid, Period.

Thank You.

Sorry, I Forgot To Say That I Have Always Used SMTP And POP3.

---

Chronologically:

A - Late JANUARY - Changed ISPs,

B - Late MARCH - Disabled AutoResponder ( To Save Some Of My Free Time ),

C1 - Early JUNE - Enabled AutoResponder, Again. And,

C2 - Ongoing Problem - Whenever Surpassing More Than 100, Or So, Sent Emails Per Day The Sending Feature Becomes Temporarily Blocked.

---

After ( A ) And Before ( C1 ) I Have Not Changed Absolutely Nothing ( Same Amount Of Incoming And Outgoing Emails ).

Absolutely No Problems When Receiving Emails, Only When Sending.

---

Comparing This Situation With A Tennis Game - Whatever Was Changed, It Happened On The **Other Side** Of The Court.

Thank You.

Well, I see that few of the AR's emails are located in SPAM folder on our server.

Sorry, I Forgot To Say That I Have Always Used SMTP And POP3.

---

Hmmm... that's important info for our "investigation".

There Are 3 Possible Culprits:

A - My OUTLOOK 2003,

B - My ISP,

C - GOOGLE.

---

( A ) - Very Unlikely - I Have Used The Program Since 2004, Always In This Manner,

( B ) - Unlikely - I Have An Unlimited Traffic Fiber Account, And Why Would They Change The TOS Only A Few Months After The Contract Had Started ?

( C ) - My Main Suspect - The Million Dollar Question Is Why ?

Thank You.

GMAIL.

---

A - My OUTLOOK2003 Receives Emails In **Groups** Of No More Than Around 250,

B - In GMAIL, Emails Are Considered **Read** Only When All The **Group** Is Received.

If 1 Email Causes An Error, ( A ) Is Immediately Stopped, And ( B ) Is Not Updated.

---

1 Email Was Causing An Error, So I Had To Find It On The Web Interface And Delete It, So ( A ) Could Be Normally Resumed.

How Did I Find It Among 500+ Unread Emails ?

---

C - Using The SPAM And TRASH Folders, You Can Hide Emails From ( A ),

D - You Can Change Settings To Display As Little As 10 Or As Much As 100 Emails Per Page,

E - You Then Allow ( A ) In Smaller And Smaller Groups Until You Find The Culprit, And Then Delete The SOB Permanently.

Cheers.

(V)IRUSTOTAL Undecided GUI.

---

Recently, ( V ) Has Created A New GUI, But Seeing The Main Page With Either The Old Or The New GUI Seems Like A Naughty Lottery.

---

A - Copy The Main URL ( Use Both HTTP And HTTPS ) To The Clipboard,

B - Paste And Call The Main URL Half A Dozen Times Using Both ( A ).

---

Could You See The 2 Different GUI ?

Cheers.
