Title: A Versatile Video Player (PC/MAC) Recommendation
Post by: wonderdinge on 20. August 2015., 04:57:46
Days ago, I got a sincere email for the developer of this '5kplayer' that invited me to use its new developed free video player, they also would like to have a feedback from my using experience and said they are continuously doing upgrades to this player .

link: http://www.5kplayer.com/
The site seems legit and shows me lots of features: play 2k,4k video and region locked DVDs; Airplay and streaming to bigger screen; download online video/music, radio play and it's FREE!!!

I downloaded and used for a while.
What I felt was a small but exquisite, very clean and easy-to-use video player. The interface looks neat and friendly. However, for new things, there must be some problems coming after. But I think it's OK.

Now I am just using it as an alternative of VLC.

If you are interested, you may try it and share more information to us. I know you won't be disappointed

Pal, thanks for info.

As I see, this App is presented on some of the largest DLL sites, however it (still) have low number of downloads:

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Video/Video-Players/5KPlayer.shtml

http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/5kplayer.html

http://download.cnet.com/5KPlayer/3000-13632_4-76423535.html

Also, IMO, "About page" is very poor with information  : http://www.5kplayer.com/company/about.htm
