Mozilla taps India market with $33 smartphone | @scoopit via @Cryptoslayer http://ln.is/sco.lt/sSAaq

Really? Is this true? It's too cheap for a company like Firefox. I'm not surprise if a mobile company can sell cheap gadgets because China products are even cheaper. Maybe China can sell smartphones worth $20 only. Anyway, I'm quite interested with this Firefox smartphone, I hope it will be out in the market soon!

The company is Mozilla.. but well, the whole point of Firefox OS was to deliver stupidly cheap smartphones to the entry-level market

Hi @devnullius,
Mozilla has announced on Dec 8, 2015, that it will no longer develop or sell Firefox OS smartphones and devices, ending a two and a half year effort to break into the low-end smartphone world. The news was originally announced at a developer event and Mozilla later confirmed it to TechCrunch.

I'm glad Mozilla exists. While it's not a perfect company by any means and has kind of sold out recently, it is much more on the side of good than not, which is tough for many larger tech companies to say about themselves.
