For Airy Review, see below. I am not running it anymore! Too early, too little :s

Karma still,

I already removed Airy when I finally got an answer, telling me the new update should fix it all.

Sigh...

Once more, I will install. As long as it doesn't bother me... And at least has basic functions actually working!

;p

No, no... I'll give him (and you) few more days for reply.  ;D

Today I again asked support for this program. I'm a patient girl, sometimes ;p

I also had a problem that the key was not remembered, but that seems to be fixed in the latest update a few days ago (...)*

Copy Paste of contact with support:
"Hello,

Your program comes with a startup blocker. At startup, a notification appears for some applications that they will be auto-blocked unless specified otherwise.

Also there is an option to remember your choice.

Problem 1: choices are NOT remembered.
Problem 2: despite the default value to block, the programs will start nonetheless. Which seems to me the startup blocker is not working at all?
Problem 3: on windows 8 x64 I must give permission to Airy program itself when I boot the computer. Again, making it appear it is not an effective antivirus if it is started so late...? Please explain :)

I'll also post information on scforum.info. I will add your reply to that discussion.

Regards,

Devvie Nuis,
NL"

:) it looks like a one-man-trick, true.

His English is horrible (email gave me a faMMily key... I wrote him, and corrected some more errors for him. He's working on it, but me being Dutch wasn't good enough for him ;p

...

Honestly, the only reason for me to believe in this App is yours faith in it...  ;)

Do not get me wrong, I support the effort and commitment of all the people who try to honestly earn. In the end, he makes no effort to earn through online scams, etc.

P.S.

I know that my English is bad as well...  ;D

For me, biggest test is false positives. It does not have many. that's good. But it's either because it can't detect anything or because of quality. In the latter case, if detection would become better, false positives could rise. I've seen it happen before. But for now: looks good, details still to follow ;p

The free, unregistered version, yes, it does not update and currently had definitions dating from July...

...

It'll be very hard to make some success with this concept, when you have competitors like: Malwarebytes, Spybot S&D, SUPERAntiSpyware etc.

Don't know why but I'm really skeptical with this App, site is very "poor" with information with some "nonsenses":

1. About Airy AntiSpy Software: http://www.airyantispyware.com/company.htm

Quote
"Airy AntiSpyware is one of the leading Business Groups of the country with an innovative approach."

Which Country? I can't find any Company address anywhere...

2. Features & Benefits: http://www.airyantispyware.com/

"Remove Special Virus"

WTF is "Special virus" ?!  ???

That's just my two cents...

The free, unregistered version, yes, it does not update and currently had definitions dating from July...

BUT you can easily get Pro key by promoting them: look at their page. I'm still testing the software... Expect some later edits ; )

Free / unregistered PRO version does NOT update! Current download version comes bundled with definitions for July 7th 2013... Not good! ALSO, unregistered version opens a new browser window / tab once in a while. Luckily, registration, for now, still is free after some easy promo work for them. I do like the program, but these details prevent it from making it a default tool. Bwerg ;p

...

D. you write this Topic on 10.08. and this App use definitions from 07.07. ?!  :-X

"One of the most frequently asked questions we get is: “How many viruses do you find every day?”.

At first you may laugh – but you shouldn’t. No. Here I should remind you (forgotten your better schoolteachers’ words?) that there’s no such thing as a stupid question! So what do I do with this question – simple though it seems? Answer with a simple answer. Right? But I thought that the answer was the much bandied about figure that we’ve had for a while – 35,000 viruses a day. Or somewhere in that vicinity, on average, and without going into mind-numbing detail about malware families, polymorphism, vector patterns, peculiarities of counting database records, etc."

Some more copy pastes and thoughts about AAS - a new program for me...

Bwerg ;p

Scanning my memory showed all clean, even when I have some obscure tools running.

Scanning hard drive took a long time: results in the reply. All in all, not too bad.
