Hacktivist collective Anonymous is continuing its cyber-campaign against Israel and in support of Gaza by taking the country's Ministry of Defence website offline while publishing what it claims to be leaked login details for the Israeli government website.

On Monday the group of Anonymous hackers who go by the name AnonGhost published a list of over 170 emails and passwords which it claims are login details to the official Israeli government gov.il website.

So far the veracity of these logins have not been confirmed by the Israeli government.

As part of its on-going cyber-campaign against Israel and in support of the people in Gaza, AnonGhost has also successfully taken the Israel Ministry of Defence website offline.

The campaign - called #OpSaveGaza - has already seen thousands of Israeli websites taken offline including that belonging to the Tel Aviv police department.

The #OpSaveGaza campaign kicked off on 7 July with Anonymous publishing a list of hundreds of websites which it claims to have disrupted.

Typically Anonymous members use primitive attack methods such as distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks which sees a website's server flooded by traffic from thousands of computers at once.

In a video calling on others to join their campaign, Anonymous said that this Friday would see a resurgence in attacks:

We've been fighting Israel and their terrorist state for over four years, and we have not grown weary or tired. It has only made us stronger. Therefore, we are calling upon the anonymous collective, and the elite hacker groups to join our crusade, and to wage cyber war against the state of Israel once more. This Friday will be a day in where Israel will feel fear tingling in their servers, and homes. It will be a day of solidarity and resistance
