ya, for some of you, you might have to go to Common Standard Protection and uncheck "Prevent termination of McAfee processes" or simply disable Access Protection Properties altogether.

there is a check box in access protection that says "prevent mcafee services from being disabled" you can uncheck that and leave access protection on

Did you maybe set some password on McAfee settings (right now I have only that on my mind  ??? )??

I have always been able to temporarily disable On-Access Scan. This can be very useful when doing some other intensive scan on the system.

However, since patch 8 was installed, I seem to be unable to disable On-Access Scan; it is greyed-out.

I remember some time ago this happened as well, but I was able to allow it somewhere in some control panel.  I cannot find it now.

Any suggestions? (Thank you!)
