Post by: devnullius on 06. January 2013., 15:49:01
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items

Search for: err

Problem: you are unable to change settings for:
choose how to check for solutions
choose how to report problems

"Some settings are controlled by Group Policy. Why can't I change some settings?".

Go to the sidebar and Search:
gpedit.msc

Rightclick to open as administrator.

Go to:
Computer Policy - Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Windows Components - Windows Error reporting.

So if you have a problem that you must always confirm sending an error report, and you don't like that, you can change it here.

I used the following settings, changes are applied instantly.

With the following details you will always send error reports with all details and check for solutions whenever : )

Configure Error Reporting: not configured (NC)
Display Error Notification: NC
Do not throttle additional data: enabled (E)
Send data when ... costed network: NC
Send additional data when on battery power: E
Disable Windows Error Reporting: disabled (D)
Prevent Display of the user interface for critical errors: E
Disable Logging: D
Do not send additional data: D
Advanced Error Reporting Settings\ Report unplanned shutdown events: E
Advanced Error Reporting Settings\ Default application reporting settings: E (report all)
Advanced Error Reporting Settings\ List of Applications to never report: NC
Advanced Error Reporting Settings\ List of Applications to always report: NC
Advanced Error Reporting Settings\ Report operating system errors: E
Advanced Error Reporting Settings\ Configure Report Archive: E
Advanced Error Reporting Settings\ Configure Corporate windows Error Reporting: NC
Advanced Error Reporting Settings\ List of applications to be excluded: NC
Advanced Error Reporting Settings\ Configure Report Queue: NC
Consent\ Customize consent settings: ENABLED

Enjoy full Error Reporting Help Assistance by Microsoft (I hope - I'm always open for suggestions on mistakes; I will start testing myself now ;p)
