I think there was a tool called cd roller but it is not free (14days trial).  Isobuster should do the work either. Was it a rewritable cd? If yes then you need a tool that recovers files from rw cds but it works only when tha disk is quick formatted. I think cd roller does this too.

You may use guide below...

CD/DVD get scratched due to regular use. You can use following methods to recover data. I assure you that after using these methods, you will have all your data.

1.   Clean the CD/DVD properly as dust can be a reason.
2.   Use a CD/DVD writer instead a CD/DVD reader device for such corrupted disks, because DVD writer are more powerful than DVD reader.
3.   If nothing happens, then you should opt for a third party data recovery software. This is the best way to recover data from CD/DVD/Blue-Ray disks.

Or in case guide can't assist you, make use of more powerful resources, which can give you more variants of restoration CD data

Hi,
Just been handed a CD that contained a lot of photos. The person in question took them on the CD to a supermarket photo printer. Inserted the CD and there is now just 2 files visible a file called CONTENT.DAT (0.16KB) and a COMP.DAT file at 160MB. If I look at the CD using ISOBUSTER I see just one session and the 2 files.
The CD obviously wasn't closed - any ideas on how to recover?
