Sigh...

32GB and here we go... Not even synced my Apps yet!!

Newman K2S v1.0.4, Android 4.2.2
RAM: 2.0 GB
Phone Storage: 26.71GB Available
26.96FB Total

Default Write Disk: Phone Storage

Internal space: 1.14GB
* Available 121MB
* Apps (data & media) 769MB
* Cached data: 160MB

Installing *any* application will give the dreadful error:
"Error downloading "File Expert with Clouds free today with App of the day". There is insufficient space on the device.
ERROR OK. Sigh :(

(of course - app name changes :) )

Links form the internet:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.felipearon.marketfix (needs root)

http://www.itworld.com/mobile-wireless/403955/insufficient-storage-available-android-and-how-fix-it-aka-unix-y-man-behind-c
--> clear cache: I need an app for that. Safe mode? All Chinese :(
--> second tip was a good one and solved my problems:
Quote
Under Storage, you see the total amount of space used by the app on your device, then divisions of App (core program) and Data (the generated stuff). You only want to clear Data as a last resort. Clearing the Data on an app is basically starting from square one, as if you had just installed it, with nothing logged in or set up or saved.

Underneath that is Cache. Cache, you can totally wipe out. The app might load a little more slowly next time it opens, but it will still work, and your login and data will be intact. Some apps can build up a really big cache over time—Chrome, Google+, Google Search, and quite a few music apps, in particular. Sometimes you only need to clear out a cache or two to make room for that vital app you're trying to squeeze onto your phone.

For me: phone: settings: Apps: Sort by Size
Google Play services was using 58MB (not a problem) but I pressed it nonetheless. I pressed "Clear Data" in the options menu for Google Play. You should NOT do that. FIRST do "Clear Cache". Test ok? You are done. Still not good? Try Clear data...

Happy installing: tip of the day: http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appturbo.appturboNL (App of the Day)

Enjoy :)

HELP: Newman k2s telephone: insufficient storage available: all apps
« Reply #1 on: 02. October 2014., 18:17:57 »
All apps get installed in phone storage, not in phone's 32GB memory! A friend told me that there should be an option to chose where to install. That option only shows phone memory, not the phone's 32 GB storage. What should I do? K2S version 1, not 2.

If you install "Assistant for Android": https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.advancedprocessmanager&hl=en "under" Tools, you'll have App2SD option.

I'll think about some other possibilities.. ::)

Thhis is a typical problem, because SD card must be emulated.... Link2SD is the way to go

I tried a few of those, will test yours but it does not seem to be the solution. It's really like the phone only has its internal ram storage, like they forgot to program other possibilities :s

Android assistant cannot do anything!!!! Proram blows anyway: I'd have to manually click each and every app to be moved. But it cannot move. No options to be set when I press an app. Storage is informational, not functional!

Link2sd looks like a great working program, but when checking the results, nothing has been moved... I tried all there is!

I really start to hate that Newman... Good I got it for free after Dutch customs lost it for more than 4 months... Still, I'm annoyed.

No screenshot posibilities either... This is Android, right? Dumb programmers :(

Anyways, from Play Store "Partitition Table" app...
