do you have some "code" for S2?

You've seen this, right? http://www.wikihow.com/Unlock-Samsung-Galaxy-S-II-(S2)

It's not helpful for me, because of:

I've seen these codes to work, although I personally think that it's far cleaner to get the unlock code fromthe original carrier.
It's worth noting that those codes WON'T work on custom roms.

I'm still waiting for confirmation, from SCF member(s), that these code(s) work...

By the way, do you have some "code" for S2?

Someone turned 40  ;)

When born on March 28, 1973 you'd be 40 not too long ago...

When purchasing a new smartphone many people it with a contract as the device works out much cheaper. However the downside is that when your contract has run its course, the handset is still locked to that carrier. If you want to move the handset to another carrier then you have to unlock it and this typically comes at a cost.

If you do have a locked device that you want to unlock to take to a different carrier you will be happy to hear about an unlock code that has surfaced online. The first thing you need to do is pick up a SIM card from a different carrier to your own. When you have it you can follow the steps below.

1. Insert the foreign SIM card into your Samsung Galaxy S5.
2. Turn your handset off and back on again.
3. On the dialpad on your phone, type in *#197328640#.
4. Then select [1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3] Perso SHA256 OFF.
5. Wait for 30 seconds or so before returning to your main menu by choosing back.
6. In the main menu, you should see a “Network Lock” message, now choose [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ.

Your device should now be unlocked if all has gone well. This means that you can use it with any carrier or send it abroad to a friend or relative so they can use it with the carrier of their choice. The code has been known to work with different handsets so you can try it out on handsets such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy S5.
