Good job D., thanks for the effort!

Yeah... If only somebody was actually interested and installed it... That would be great! Remember: I have download counters on my files

And in general... I think the SCF non-oldtimers could be a little more enthusiastic with thanks or how does it work or cool or horrible or... Just something! Ah well, I had it in preparation for a long time and I might have expected too much this time.

Enjoy!

:) Devvie

So, you don't have any new downloads ?? ::)

Maybe, your Gallery will encourage some "readers": https://www.flickr.com/photos/devnullius/

Beautiful photos.

Merry Christmas Happy New Year Enjoy this pre-Easter gift from me for you guys at SCForum.info* :)

I've made a new account on Flickr, uploaded 28 Flickr albums with each at least 365 photos / backgrounds / wallpapers in it for you to use. I even included some bandwidth friendly albums - just import the settings into JBS and read the descriptions.

Warning: while I've been collecting many new images last year and I reviewed all photos by hand, the amount of photos is overwhelming even for me. So for the next few months I'll start to filter out some (many) images once more if I deem them unworthy after all. This is a collection that grew over the years, not everything was clear to me when I started this journey...

SO check back often to this other thread: http://scforum.info/index.php?topic=8202.msg20873 - everything will be updated in CHeCKDiSK.7z file I offer there... Keep an eye out on the nevershowagain.xml file I keep updated in that archive and I also keep a copy here for direct download: https://app.box.com/s/dys8sjlhojiwr51gqlcu3mi581o5aahq.
Download the settings file and install John's Background Switcher. Start it and import the downloaded settings file. Copy nevershowagain.xml to %AppData%\johnsadventures.com\Background Switcher\ . That's all you need to do.

Also I expect a few backgrounds to fall victim again to the Flickr copyright patrol. The result will be a VERY ugly warning (white background with horrible text in all languages). If you encounter one yourself, or in general: when you find an offending / ugly background you never want to see again, right click JBS icon in the system tray (next to the clock) and chose "Never Show Again" for any background that has a name printed in the upper right corner. That's it!

For people that keep begging for nudes... After importing my settings, see the 500px search terms... Enable as you please.

Enjoy you all - 28 sets (and growing!) with a total of over 10,000 (!) background images!

Karma and till next year!

Devnullius

DOWNLOAD: JBS John's Background Switcher for Windows or Mac here: http://johnsad.ventures/software/backgroundswitcher/

PS: John, if you read this: can you filter out those flickr copyright warnings? They are impossible to track down or filter out online - even removing is impossible so I *must* manually add them to never show again filter list...  :-* It would improve my life hugely if you could automatically filter them out :)

* While I have a minimum of 365 photos in each album, flickr kinda sucks for it does not allow for re-upload of a file, even if the original online copy has been removed by you. The Windows Flickr tool kinda sucks too. So while I know enough photos should be online, some albums show a few photos less... Nothing I can do, I tried many times. And it's a *pain* to upload all files to flickr... It takes a long long long loooooooong long time!

I tried my very best to remove all things car, train, weapon, childish, girly. If you wish, there is a nude option.

I wish...  >:D

CHAOS this thread has become  O0

Sorry  ::)

BUT, I do have a new and temporary final set of VERY NICE backgrounds. As soon as I have a stable flickr synchronization, all will be done and fixed... but I already GUARANTEE a LOOOOOOOOOOONG list of NICE backgrounds. Trust me :)

New settings file for John's Background Switcher, here: https://app.box.com/s/mfunng3fy7z3rrbjob69

I tried my very best to remove all things car, train, weapon, childish, girly. If you wish, there is a nude option

3 main groups are active... Look in the upper right corner if you dislike a picture...
-> you see Devnullius? Sorry, look at my Flickr feeds myself and chose the sets you like
-> you see nothing? Look at Pixabay. Sets change completely after a few days...
-> you see something non-devnullius? Look at 500px. Sets change completely after a few days...

All in all... I'm proud of this one :)

Karma to John!

Devvie

Also some personal sheit to do. Give me at least a month? :s

Peace!

The best solituon for that that I can think of is to keep your current DVD and download the SP2 offline installer, after that you can deploy via WSUS or manually. (Of course, that will take its time....)

ALSO, I'm uploading all (old) pictures of http://scforum.info/index.php?topic=6220.0 to Flickr (more to follow). FOR THIS, I'll need a batch stamp removal tool - ANYONE?

Is this what you looking for - "DeLogo": http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Video/Other-VIDEO-Tools/DeLogo.shtml

??

Quote: " The DeLogo VirtualDub filter was designed to remove static elements, i.e. logos or watermarks from video source "

So yeah, something like this, but not for Virtualdub or video, but for photo : )

Peace!

devnullius

Ok, I see...  ;D

I'll try to find something, during next Week... ;)

cya around,

S.

Almost to forget this...  :-[

Devvie, please check these two:

- "Photo Stamp Remover" (shareware with 30 day trial period): http://www.removelogo.com/remove-logo-from-photo/

- "Magic Inpainter Express" relatively unknown App: http://www.pyramidproject.net/MagicInpainter/index.php

Second one is probably Free:

You can install the tool by starting the installation and following the install procedure which is quite simple. During install no license keys are needed. The free version has full core functionality only Save, Save AS, clipboard Copy and few other export and import functions are disabled.

Custom Google Searches:

1. setting: 1600x1200, colour: purple
hd nature wallpapers -bliksem -lightning -storm -thunder -stars -abstract -screenshots -dekstop -logo (beaches OR oceans OR seas OR islands OR mountains OR forrest OR underwater OR fishes OR coral OR koraal) -bananasprice

2. setting: 1600x1200, colour: purple
site:nationalgeographic.com underwater
site:nationalgeographic.com (coral OR reef)

3. ("national geographic" OR "national geografic")   -logo -cover wallpapers backgrounds -screenshots -stars -planets -milkyway -sterren -planeet -planeten -nebula -nebulus -abstract -children IS:photo -site:10wallpaper.com -"digital art" -powerpoint -ppt

4. +(sky OR (sun-rise OR sun-set)) -logo -cover wallpapers backgrounds -screenshots -stars -planets -milkyway -sterren -planeet -planeten -nebula -nebulus -abstract -children IS:photo  -site:10wallpaper.com -"digital art" -powerpoint -ppt

5. !!TIP!!
site:photography.nationalgeographic.com/photography/photo-of-the-day/

Custom Bing searches:
(Beautiful pictures, but also contains many digital 'art' pictures, powerpoint thingies and other sheit - and without advanced search operators, I decided not to use Bing! at all! :s)
1. nature background

REQUEST: IF you have other good working searches, please share? :)

EDIT:

!! NEW SEARCHES TO USE !!

1. In John's Background Switcher, make a custom Google Search, 1600x1200 OR IT WILL FAIL, with the following search:
site:ngm.nationalgeographic.com/wallpaper/ -dogs -milky-way -artwork -supernova -cluster -stellar -nebula

(of course, if you love dogs, nebula etc.... Don't exclude them with '-' ;p)

2. Add Picasa albums for user 'devnullius'. I made several of them. All from NG.
You will find all backgrounds I could save with National Geographic Wallpaper Downloader. For now, they still all have logos. Sorry?
