Samker,

Thank you again so much for all your help!

It appears that the computer is finally fixed. There are a few small things I've noticed, but nothing major. It's running just as well as ever!

I will most likely be buying Kapersky before the trial ends, I just need to figure out when that is, and I'll be sure to do it through your site.

I'll always remember this forum if I have computer errors again and I'll give you an update in a little while to let you know how things are going. Thanks again!!!

Best Wishes,
Abby

Hi Abby,

it's look like we resolve this!?

Quote
I uninstalled Spybot a day or so ago and all the Spybot-related errors have been fixed. Should I reinstall it? It did find and get rid of a lot of things at one point, so I figured it must have been important.

Spybot is good tool, but probably there is a some "bug" (inside of this version) anyway you have Ad-Aware which is also excellent.

Quote
I also installed Google toolbar and then uninstalled it.
I don't know why, but the debugging errors have seem to gone away. I'll keep checking to see if they come back and get back to you on that one.

Probably this toolbar make all this trouble but we will see that later. Provide us information after some period.

And for the end one important information: Now you have installed Kaspersky AntiVirus Protection but Trial version (only 30-day), after that period they will stop to make automatic update. That's a big problem, because after some period they will stop to protect you.

I'll suggest you to buy full version, maybe Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 which we provide from our main page. In the addition if you buy Kaspersky via SCforum you will also get one special gift and that is one time FREE Remote Assist Help: http://scforum.info/index.php/topic,1242.0.html

That's all for now Abby, regards to You and your Family.

Hi again!

After I finally figured out how to disable Teatime in Spybot, I realized that it was already disabled. And I still get those pop-ups. I went to check my Yahoo email and everytime I loaded a new page, I got the error. So I don't know why I'm getting them. I can provide a screenshot, if you would like.

I opened Add/Remove programs and uninstalled Java, then reinstalled it from the link you gave me. I went to uninstall Google toolbar, but it wasn't there. It must have already been uninstalled for some reason.

To sum it up, the only two main problems I'm encountering is the runtime errors (mainly on my mom's account) and the Spybot errors (As far as I know, mostly on my account. Maybe a few on my mom's). My Dad doesn't use this computer much, so I don't have much to report about his account.

Thanks again for all your continued help!

Abby,

let we try these solutions:

1. Open your Control Panel

2. Open Ad Remove Programs

3. Uninstall Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer

4. Uninstall Java (J2SE Runtime ...) (maybe you have few of them, uninstall all)

5. Download and install latest version of Java: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Test Your PC and provide me results!

Turn Off (disable) Tea Timer inside of Spybot Search & Destroy

I'll check your dad's log and again think about this last problem.  :)

Until that use Firefox for surfing, hope we will finish this repair soon.  ;)

And here's the screenshot of the internet options:

And, yes, I do still have Kapersky AV. I just meant it was running a lot faster since I got rid of AVG and Spysweeper.

The only main problem I encounter now is the debugging error pop-ups. A new little annoyance that developed a day ago was SpyBot trying to block just about every website I go on saying that it detected TagASaurus and I should deny the URL. Once I hit 'Deny' it still lets me on, but it did get pretty annoying after a while.

Okay- I downloaded Mozilla Firefox, but haven't had the chance to use it much. However, when I have used it I haven't got any runtime error pop-ups. I kept Internet Explorer, too. Is it okay to have both?

Yes, it is Ok.  ;)

I think the iPod thing resolved itself. I've updated it a few times since then and only had one major issue. It could have just been a glitch.

Ok.

The Kapersky scan came back clean on my moms account (just come cookies) and here's the HJT log, if you need that. Her account tends to get the most runtime pop-ups.

I'll check this one more time, later (together) with your dad's log.

Also, I did the internet options thing.

Can you please provide me screenshot?

Overall, the computers actually running very well! I little slower than normal- but still pretty fast. Since I uninstalled all the anti-virus stuff.

You still have Kaspersky AV? Do you?
And as I see, now we only have problem with this errors and thats all?

S.

Also, I did the internet options thing.  And later I will be able to run the scan and get the HJT log on my Dad's account and post the results.

Overall, the computers actually running very well! I little slower than normal- but still pretty fast. Since I uninstalled all the anti-virus stuff.

Thanks again and I'll keep you updated!

I'll keep in mind Firefox. Should I try that now?

Also- a little unrelated. I tried to update my iPod yesterday (after downloading IE7) and it didn't work out. Everytime I would connect it the whole computer would freeze. First iTunes would, then the rest of the computer became incredibly slow and unresponsive. I thought it might have been the iPod, and and I have a few different ones, so I tried another one, the same things happened, and after about 20 tries I finally got the original to work. I don't know if thats important.

I'll think about this problem. For now try to reinstall/repair iPod (connection) software.

And should I run the scans on the other two accounts now? Or wait until that runtime error is fixed?

It's Ok to scan all accounts now.  ;)

Also please follow this instructions:

Open IE, after that open IE Tools and Internet Options, open Advanced tab, find Browsing part and find and check (mark both to disable) these two things "Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer)" and "Disable script debugging (Other)".

After all provide me new information about problems!

Regards,

Samker

I had already downloaded the trial version, got the updates (there were a lot!) and ran the scan. It found over 200 things, but they were all things like cookies and nothing critical, so I just removed them.

I just downloaded IE7 last night and love it! The two other computers I tried it on I didn't like it for some reason. It seemed to slow them down. But it makes this one a lot faster. And I still get the runtime error popups. I've notived a lot have been 'Line: 33.' Since the downolad they seemed to have changed. I'll keep in mind Firefox. Should I try that now?

Should I have downloaded the trial, or should I actually buy it?

For now just download Trial version and follow my earlier instruction.

The computer definately seems to be running faster!

That's good.

I normally have to push the 'No' button half a dozen times for it to go away, while the number after 'Line' changes. Sometimes it freezes the computer. But it normally happens on certain websites and once it happens it normally happens several more times. The other popups seem to have gone away.

I still have to download internet explorer 7, but other than that I did everything. I fixed the HJT items. I'll have to downolad IE7 tomorrow. Thanks again!

For now just download & install IE7, after that finish this "job" with Kaspersky and provide me information did you still (with IE7) have this pop-up messages? I also need that information for other two accounts (mom's & dad's)? Don't forget to run (updated) full scan Kaspersky with their accounts also!

That's all for now.

cya Abby,

Samker

P.S.

One note, which I forget to advice you earlier. We will this issues with IE I'm almost sure 100% but it's good idea to in the future for surfing use Firefox it's much more faster and safer than any version of IE. If you want to try Firefox up-right is direct download link ("Orange button "Browse the web faster. Get Firefox with Google Toolbar"), use them.

I misunderstood your earlier post. I thought that you just wanted me to run a Kapersky scan, not download the anti-virus. So I did and got all the updates and everything for that earlier. Should I have downloaded the trial, or should I actually buy it? Does it work better that way? The computer definately seems to be running faster! The only problem I still have is this popping up sometimes:
