Interested case. Since I don't have any knowledge about mentioned Programs I'll Turn-On notification about this Topic. Posted by: F3RL« on: 16. July 2009., 15:09:49 »Anyone who uses Avira Antivir with WebGuard, please discuss an issue outlined in this topic. In basics, for WebGuard to do its job, it intercepts all our TCP/UDP data transmission sessions. This alerted me that IF Avira WebGuard has failed (for some reason) to detect a malware/spyware or any security-risk software, and that downloaded software attempts to access a certain IP or website, the WebGuard will freely allow its connection to the destination - then letting the malicious S/W to transmitt personal information to the attacker. There was a discussion similar to my situation at Avira Forum; http://forum.avira.com/wbb/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=81318 By the way, I do not use third-party firewall since I'm behind a NAT environment, except Windows Firewall. How do you think of this issue? Thank you for your interest |
