There Is A Security Setting In GOOGLE MAIL That Enables/Disables The Possibility Of Third Party Low Security Applications To Access Their MAIL.

It Has Happened To Me Several Times With M$ OUTLOOK.

Since GOOGLE Disables That Setting, From Time To Time, You Have To Check The Setting And Change It, If Necessary, On A Regular Basis.

Good Luck.

This has helped me in the past, even on older software... If you still have the installation media, export or save your pst files, uninstall and delete most installation related folders from program files, user profiles and common areas... restart and do a clean install of the software (and any service packs) re-create your account and import your PST file... this usually cleans it up for me...

If you want to test disabling IPv6 on your computer and see if that resolves the issue, here is a great link to walk you through it:  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929852/how-to-disable-ipv6-or-its-components-in-windows

Maybe this will help: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/b32b2b37-7851-44a9-b9e1-058e415c4ff7/error-0x800408fc-in-outlook-2010?forum=outlook

So yup, it might be an IPv6 related error if your ISP gives you an IPv6 Address but you haven't installed IPv6 support on your computer.

Hello,

In The Last Few Days I Changed ISP Providers.

I Had An ADSL Connection With The Old 1, And, Now, I Have A FIBER Connection With The New 1.

I Can Send Messages, But I Can Not Receive Any.

I Get Error Code 0x800408fc.

Is It Related With IPV6, Or Something ?

Any Help Would Be Appreciated.

Thank You.

Yes, When The Problem Started, One Of The Very First Things I Did Was The Repair Option - No Luck.

...

Hmmm... well, maybe some Add-ins cause these problems.

Let's try on this way:

- Start Outlook in Safe Mode:

Quote

- Hold the CTRL button on your keyboard when clicking the Outlook shortcut on your Desktop, Start Menu, Start Screen or Taskbar, Outlook will detect this and asks if you want to start Outlook in Safe Mode.

*This method works in all versions of Windows and for all versions of Outlook.

If you are able to work without any issues then it is due to problem with add-ins.

- If that is the case, follow the steps below and disable add-ins in Outlook 2003:

Quote

1. Tools-> Options…-> tab Other-> button Advanced Settings…

2. Press the “Add-In Manager…” or “COM Add-Ins…” button depending on which add-ins you want to enable/disable

3. For some add-ins you’ll need to restart Outlook for changes to take effect.

- If the above step does not fix the issue, create new profile and check on that way: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/829918

cya later,

S.
