But yeah, it appears so... I actually should test both programs in details, but I hardly ever watch DVDs on my PC anymore - I nowadays just stream :>

as for the free DVD player, you can give DAPlayer a shot. It's a free multimedia player for windows and able to play Bluray, AVCHD, TS, MKV, MPEG4, H264 videos, DVD video and music CD, etc.
