EtherSphere is an Ethereum-based game that is based on game theory and social co-operation. It is an evolution
of gambling contracts on the network and changes the way players interact with the house.




INTRODUCTION & OPPORTUNITIES

Game theory based games are made possible on the Ethereum network because of anonymity that is  provided on the blockchain  and  trustless  smart  contracts  that  ensures  all  rules  are  faithfully executed regardless of individual participant’s actions. As a result of anonymity provided by the blockchain, social repercussions are taken out from each participant’s actions  and  reputational concerns of  individuals  are  reduced
Essentially, the  cost considered for performing  actions within  the  game is  trimmed  down  to  pure  economic  terms. Ethereum provides an ideal medium for permitting true game theory based scenarios to be played out in real life.EtherSphere attempts to pioneer and experiment with smart contract games to generate a whole new genre of players and systems.

BACKGROUND

EtherSphere  2.0  is  a  web-based  decentralized  application  featuring  a  reward  pool  system.  Each round has a time limit of 12 hours consisting of a reward pool and a jackpot. Players participate by registering  their  wallet  and  have  access  to  a  collaboration  box  for  social  interaction  with  other players. To play, players will place bids in ether with the intent to earn positive gains from the reward pool or win alarge jackpot. Bids placed by players form a bid pool by the end of each round

Over the course of 1 month, we experimented with game theory scenarios and created EtherSphere 1.0. The game allowed
several hundred players to bid for a set reward stored in a smart contract. It has been surprisingly successful and

Subsequently, we realized how this could be a really promising direction the gaming and gambling industry could go. By researching
established game theory principles and using what we learnt from our experience building a successful v1.0 EtherSphere, we decided
to go further and deeper to improve existing mechanics to create a larger, more scalable and fun game on Ethereum. We are
ambitious in creating a new genre of games that can reinvent existing systems and alter how online gaming or gambling is done.

1. Sphere tokens

Sphere tokens (SPR) are given out by the contract during crowdfunding, and it provides mutiple functionalities.
aim is to ensure all games are funded solely by SPR tokens. DAO voting is a core part of our ecosystem to ensure the entire system can be run in an almost entirely trustless manner directed by token holders, therefore allowing the organization's branding and potential lifecycle earnings to be priced in - making each SPR token more valuable.

3. How to claim

Tokens are moved from wallet to wallet in a First In First Out(FIFO) basis. Note that if someone transfers a token without first claiming the fees it is entitled, the fees will be transferred to the reserves.Fees claimable are deposited by games after every round. Reserves are accumulated from crowdfunding and unclaimed fees.
Connect to the token holder's page with a Mist or Parity browser to execute voting rights or claim fees.
Alternatively, token holders can execute their privileges manually using Geth or Web3 through the DAO Contract.
DAO Contract functions:

1. viewBalance(address) - View unclaimed fee balance of a token holder
2. viewBurnValue(address) - View value of all tokens when burned for a token holder
3. claim() - Claims all fees a token holder is entitled to. Unclaimed fees will accumulate over time.
4. claim(address) - Same as 3, but ether will be sent to specified address instead.
5. claim(numRounds) - This can used in a scenario where there are too many rounds of unclaimed fees. Allows claiming fees for a specified number of rounds, up to the latest completed round.
6. claim(numRounds, address) - Same as 5, but ether will be sent to specified address instead.
7. burn(amount) - Burns a specified amount of token and gets all unclaimed fees plus inherent value in return.
8. burn(amount, address) - Same as 7, but ether will be sent to specified address instead.
9. viewUpcomingProposals() - Get a list of all proposal addresses submitted but are not up for voting yet.
10. viewLiveProposals() - Get a list of all live proposal addresses that can be voted on.
11. viewCompletedProposals() - Get a list of all proposal addresses that have been closed.
12. viewVoteStatus(proposalAddress, tokenHolderAddress) - Check voting status of a token holder for a given proposal.
13. vote(proposalAddress, amount, selectedOption) - Vote for a proposal using a specified amount of tokens.

4. Token holder rights

Token holders can execute functions made available to them through a DAO Contract. It stipulates how funds are used and how token holders can approve or disapprove of fund withdrawals/usage. DAO contract is enforced by Ethereum Blockchain and EVM.



ICO Bounty


EtherSphere’s Pre-sale begins on 22nd July 2017 and will last 1 week. Main ICO starts later on 2nd August 2017
We’d like to announce a bounty campaign and invite forum members to participate. In order to gather as much awareness possible, a
total of 1,538,130 SPR tokens will be issued here.
Tokens will be issued at the end of the campaign on 21st August 2017. The following method will be used for computing rewards:

Evaluations are done by the team and decisions are final.
