IT IS HAPPENING, AGAIN.

LINKEDIN WILL REMOVE SOME CONTENT ON YOUR PROFILE IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS.

YOUR ONLY CHOICE IS TO DOWNLOAD IT BEFORE IT IS DELETED FOREVER.

SIGH...

Interesting article and project by "Canada's The Globe and Mail":

"Canada's The Globe and Mail this week announced that the website will be trying something new: acknowledging that ye olde, maligned news comment section is worth saving, while building a new system that leans on the community itself to keep discourse spam-free and relatively civil."

Thanks!

( A ) - ( YOUR LINKEDIN PROFILE )

---

SOME INFORMATION ASSOCIATED WITH ( A ) WILL BE REMOVED IN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS.

IN THE MEANWHILE YOU CAN DOWNLOAD EVERYTHING RELATED TO ( A ) - IF YOU, LIKE ME, TAKE ( A ) SERIOUSLY, I RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO SO, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

---

I HATE IT WHEN OLD FEATURES DISAPPEAR FROM SOFTWARE OR SERVICES.

SIGH...

The LINKEDIN Menu For News Is Called PULSE.

A - The Old Link Redirects To A Completely Different Page Without Any Warning,

B - The Old Link Should Be Redirected To The New One,

C - I Found The New Link By Accident.

Not A Very Professional Approach, In My Opinion.

---

Your Signature Link Is Even Worse - It Is Broken, But Easy To Correct.

Cheers.

First Blow - A Few Years Ago, Several PCWORLD Sites Totally Dumped Their Forums - As My Very First Experience In Connecting Regularly With Other Folks In The Internet, I Was Not Happy, At All,

One More Blow ( ? ) - In The Last Few Days ( ? ), Comments To Articles Are Not Made In The Articles Pages Anymore - They Are Made In FB ( ? ) Or TWITTER ( ? ).

---

It Appears Now There Is Not A Direct Link Between Articles Pages And Respective Comments ( And Vice Versa ).

My Interest In Articles Without Comments Is Almost Zero - Blunt Comments Are The Juicy Part Of Any Article, Period.

Do Sites Measure Their Readership Regularly, Before And After Making Big GUI Changes ? - Apparently Not.

Oh, Well...

---

I agree with you that Articles without possibility to comment is ridiculous & without direct connection (article-comments) is stupidity. :o

However, FYI, We considers some technical options to connect SCforum with Facebook (maybe, even some other Social pages) and enable our visitors option to log-in on SCforum with using FB credentials and post replies (on SCforum, of course) without registration process.

---

For the end, one fact... just take a look on disproportion in the number of views and replies (on Topics) in just two important SCF's boards:

"Latest Security News & Alerts": http://scforum.info/index.php?board=6.0

&

"PC Help Center": http://scforum.info/index.php?board=16.0

It's common problem on Forums - visitors come (read Topic or/and resolve some problem) and disappear without any comment. :-/

Because of that, We're trying to figure out something with the goal to increase visitors activity on the Forum boards.

cya around!

Things On The Internet Continue To Run Too Fast For Me.

Now, The Main LINKEDIN PULSE Menu Page Is Gone Forever ?

---

A - GOOGLE Or Any Other Third Party Search Engine,

B - Any Site Inner Search Feature,

---

It Is Sad When ( A ) Does A Way Better Job Than ( B ) Inside Itself.

Oh, Well...
