I miss my MGS PS3. It had the built-in media card reader, plus was backward compatible with PS2 games (not sure about PS1). Mine ended up burning up, and I tried the heat gun fix, which screwed it up even more. I ended up with a slim, and I regret not paying to get it fixed.

The Slim has everything else the Fatboys do. Expertise is fundamentally the same, graphics are the same, Slim fundamentally runs the same, two USB ports, two.5 SATA laptop computer 5400 RPM hard drive that is basically upgradable, layout and all other feature options on the XMB are the same.

Speed wise no, structure, and in HD quality wise no. The only difference is that fewer operations per second due to smaller chip (1,250 billion is thin, not fat, 2 trillion), and saves some energy, but thats about it. Slim is also missing the chip"Emotion", which is one that enables backward compatibility. Beyond that are the same.

I like my PSP Slim though but since it is slim if ya drop it from a X height it gonna break compared to dropping the original at the same height =0 Drop my PSP Slim a few times and my UMD always fly out hehe.

I still have my original PS3 60G as well.  Love the PS2 emulation in it.  Fatter is better.  I think the slim ones will have heat issues and burn up...  Could be wrong tho...

shiny n fat for me...looks a lot neater on the TV stand and yes, less issues with overheating

unfortunately i went for the smaller HDD simply due to the costs when PS3 was released, but don't regret it one bit as i don't store any pics or vids on it. that's what external HDD's are for ;)

Definitely the original....Sony should stop making these stupid slimlines. They are all made so flimsy and will ALWAYS have issues with heat, you know what they say : If it's not broken, Don't fix it!

I love MS but they really should have beat Sony in the race to get a slimline out. They will still win the game race by about 2 units though.
