I know that some of you (SCF visitors) loves Symantec's products and some of you simply hate them... ;D but did you know that Symantec has been named to Ethisphere’s World’s Most Ethical Companies list (for the 6 year in a row): http://m1.ethisphere.com/wme2013/index.html

Symantec's comment:

"But what does it really mean to be one of the world’s most ethical companies? Why is this distinction important?

For us, when we think about being an ethical company, we’re thinking about things like tone from the top – the ways in which our executive leadership team, from the CEO down, vocalize and help drive a commitment to integrity throughout the business. We think about the best ways to create the kind of transparent culture where employees know what’s expected of them and where to go for help when faced with an ethical dilemma. We think about the entire employee experience – the kinds of dilemmas they’re most likely to encounter, the kinds of training they need to be equipped to deal appropriately with those dilemmas, the kind of culture that encourages and empowers employees to ask questions, and the ease with which they’re able to report their concerns.

We also think about our external stakeholders, and their experience with us as a business partner. It’s important that we create the right culture internally, but also that we’re honoring our commitment to the highest standards of business ethics in a way that resonates with our customers, partners, shareholders, and others.  Our EthicsLine reporting system is available to anyone – whether internal or external – for reporting concerns or asking questions.

Operating with integrity, and with a sharp focus on ethics and compliance, is the foundation of the corporate responsibility we have for all of our stakeholders. What we do and how we do it matters. It matters to our employees. It matters to our customers. It matters to our shareholders, our suppliers, our partners, and everyone we work with around the globe. The recognition that comes from this list is great – but it also serves as an important reminder that our work is never done, and that we must strive to continuously improve our processes and systems, and cultivate the right kind of culture, so that we remain a trusted employer and business partner.

I would like to hear your opinion(s) about this news ?!

P.S.

By the way, if you want to buy some Symantec product(s) like: Norton ("family"), pcAnywhere etc. use promo codes and you'll get even 50% discounts on some products with good Symantec coupons.
