This time I would like to start discussion about “Alkaline Water” & "Water Ionizers" which has become very popular during the past few Years, since the water & machines are being marketed as things such as “living water”, ”fountains of youth”, etc.

In the hustle and bustle of today’s modern world it can be hard to find the time to make our lives more healthy, to exercise right and to eat well. With this in mind the idea of being able to make ourselves more healthy by making a change in our drinking habits seems very appealing, who wouldn’t want to give themselves a health boost by simply changing the water they drink with such machine, like The Bawell's Platinum Water Ionizer:




What is Water ionizer ?!

A water ionizer (also known as a alkaline ionizer) is a home appliance which claims to raise the pH of drinking water by using electrolysis to separate the incoming water stream into acidic and alkaline components. Proponents claim that consumption of the alkaline stream results in a variety of health benefits, making it similar to the alternative health practice of alkaline diets. Such claims are not generally accepted in chemistry and physiology.

The machines originally became popular in Japan and other Far Eastern countries before becoming available in the U.S. and Europe.

The difference between alkaline water and ionized alkaline water

Alkaline water and ionized alkaline water are subtly different things but it can sometimes be confusing to tell the difference between the two as people tend to use the two terms interchangeably.

Water can be made alkaline by adding chemicals to it, but if you buy a water ionizer then the water produced by the machine will not just be alkaline it will also be ionized via electrolysis.
