Fujitsu Siemens Computers just announced the launch of a new professional and business oriented desktop computer system that comes packed in a small form factor in order to save space while allowing users to experience all the benefits of the latest technological achievements when it comes to computer hardware components.

The new mini computer system is called ESPRIMO  Q5020 and it is the successor of the popular ESPRIMO
Q5010 system. The Q5020 comes equipped with the latest Intel chipset and central processing units available on the market while offering users a modern and elegant case that has a very small footprint.

As the ESPRIMO Q5020 computer system was designed for business use, it fits perfectly into an office environment, while consuming with 30 percent less energy than a standard PC. This system was awarded the Energy Star 4.0 by the Environmental Protection Agency in the United States (EPA for short). The ESPRIMO Q5020 is also very quiet, due to an ingenious cooling concept.

The Q5020 is based on the Intel desktop computing platform and it comes with an ODM motherboard centered around the iGM965 chipset that also provides an integrated graphics solution, the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100. Fujitsu Siemens offers the Q5020 with a wide range of central processing units starting with the low cost Intel Celeron 540 CPU and going up to the Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 processor with as much as 2MB of L2 cache memory, while the random access department is represented by up to 4GB of DDR2 memory modules in a dual channel layout and running at 667MHz.

The frontside bus speed of these computer systems is dependent upon the processor type and can go from 533 to 800MHz. Storage options are rich on the new computers as they come with a built-in DVD burner drive and a selection of hard disk drives ranging in capacity from 80 to 160GB while using the fast Serial ATA data transferring interface. On the expansion front, the presence of two PCI Express x1 slots allows users to increase the typical functionality of these machines by adding a maximum of two add-on cards.

As network connectivity is very important nowadays, the ESPRIMO Q5020 line of computers comes with an integrated Intel 82566MM wireless card as well as an Ethernet compliant port. Four high speed USB 2.0 ports are also present and they are split between the front and rear panels while the included audio card powered by the Realtek ALC 888 chip allows users to relax and listen to their favorite music.
