Hi. I'm in search of some guidance to help me set up some home theater speakers. I apologize in the event I'm not in the appropriate thread. I am using a 5.8 GHz cordless loudspeaker set to run my rear speakers. The transmitter is hooked up to my AV receiver. The problem happens when the AV receiver is in standby. It will transmit a slight hum. This will stop the cordless transmitter from entering standby. Typically the transmitter would begin stand by should there be no audio delivered to the transmitter inputs. I find that this triggers the cordless receivers to remain awake at the same time. That causes my surround speakers to always send a hum while my AV receiver is in standby which is kind of uncomfortable. I'm not really technically informed and for that reason would hope that someone using this community forum has some ideas. My own, personal thoughts have been to power down the transmitter somehow whilst the AV receiver is off, possibly put in a switch for each or have something cut the audio link with the transmitter when the surround receiver is off.
