This page will contain a list of the security vulnerabilities known to affect particular versions of Mozilla products and instructions on what users can do to protect themselves. The list will be added to when new security problems are found.

Please read Mozilla.org's security bug policy for information on how we handle these bugs. If you have found a security problem which is not on this list and has not been filed as a public Bugzilla bug, or if you find errors or inconsistencies in this list, please send us information.

This is not meant as an exhaustive list of all security-related bugs. To find technical discussions of security-related bugs, visit Bugzilla. This page lists security vulnerabilities with direct impact on users. All of these vulnerabilities have been fixed prior to the most recent release.

Firefox vulnerabilities
Thunderbird vulnerabilities
SeaMonkey vulnerabilities
Mozilla Suite vulnerabilities

Older vulnerabilities
Impact key:
Critical: Vulnerability can be used to run attacker code and install software, requiring no user interaction beyond normal browsing.
High: Vulnerability can be used to gather sensitive data from sites in other windows or inject data or code into those sites, requiring no more than normal browsing actions.
Moderate: Vulnerabilities that would otherwise be High or Critical except they only work in uncommon non-default configurations or require the user to perform complicated and/or unlikely steps.
Low: Minor security vulnerabilities such as Denial of Service attacks, minor data leaks, or spoofs. (Undetectable spoofs of SSL indicia would have "High" impact because those are generally used to steal sensitive data intended for other sites.)
