What all fuz about that EICAR is working !!!
EICAR is a standard test string that have been used in ages. If a AntiVirus do not detect it you probebly do not have a AntiVirus installed or not configured in the system! Or worse you have got a trojan or rootkit on your system that make your AntiVirus use less.

Microsoft Security Essential was able to detect and remove when eicar.com file was clicked and before save was tapped. CA eTrust did not see it coming even though the real-time protection module was up and running on the same PC.
