For android 4.3 there still is no working solution (that is verified by me. See below!)

I got a new 4.3 Pandora version which seems to work just fine, even when wifi disappears. No ads, no skips, no dramatic long pauzes... Just music :)

The original Pandora One app I linked had a bug on 3G - it wouldn't work.

So I switched back to version 1.5.x - an oldy, but it worked. I did not share this with you, I wanted more.

Being lazy, I only today had to look for a new Pandora again. Why? The old version suddenly started to serve ads! Sigh...  :down:

I don't have the source anymore (Youtube?), but I put a mirror for Pandora_4.3_Unlocked_Public_Rydah805.apk here:

Still this program is not perfect... You can switch Wifi / 3G at home just fine, but when you go outside and wifi loses internet Pandora One Radio will get confused and not switch to 3G... So switch off wifi before leaving home, and you should be fine.

I also had a few crashes - Pandora will play on until you confirm crash, than program restarts...

SO still looking, but for now this one is workable - and the newest version ; -)

I also have version 4.1.2 for you (https://app.box.com/s/4h1swlxsfhjeiufqlyev). Looks like 4.1.3, also has no ads and also has the out-of-reach-wifi bug. But this version at least loads the cover... So I'll be testing that one more thoroughly, later.

Outside of USA? This is what I do...

1. Go to http://tunlr.net/get-started/get-started-with-android/
Write down the 2 IP addresses.
Also see: http://scforum.info/index.php/topic,7919.msg19788.html#msg19788 for Windows instructions.

2. install Set DNS (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.mytechie.setDNS)
Set it to override Wifi & 3G. Use the two IP addresses you wrote down in Step 1.

I stumbled upon the same problem: Pandora (!) would not install. Other apps, no problem.

Just to be sure I also removed my ExtSdCard from my phone to make certain it is NOT a link2SD problem...
That said, I tried many Pandora installation via Aptoide. All bloated with advertisements, non-removable - even with Ad Blockers (All downloads for current (July 2013) ad blocker Android apps + some extra tools) installed. The installation name for these Pandora versions was "Nouns" anyways... :s

    
So when looking for more "legal" versions with AppBrain, I suddenly found myself unable to install Pandora! Insufficient space! WTF... On Samsung Galaxy S3, the siii with 32GB or storage + equal ExtSdCard. Wiping cache did nothing. Resetting permissions rendered my phone useless (long live Nandroid backup!:).

Other solutions* I tried did not solve it either.

So this is what I did...

Start a terminal
Type:
su
find /system /data -name *pandora*

There I found:

We all know Pandora - and we all know that accessing it from outside the US of A licks big lollies ;p  :down:

This is what I do...

3. Download one of two APK's here: https://www.box.com/s/a9kyiwoquaa5p5sr2gbx (2013 July).

The first one is the official, latest Pandora One apk - with ad support. I finally found a trustworthy site where you can download the latest version(s)... http://www.androiddrawer.com/search-results/?q=pandora (TIP!).

The latter one is a patched version (thanks to: http://apk4dl.blogspot.nl/2013/06/pandora-v43-android-apk.html) which has all ads removed. It really works like a charm* and is SUPER fast and NOT slow when skipping songs like the other ad-supported Pandora clients. In the end I had to install the official 4.1.2 apk. See post-edit*

4. Ad Blocking?
If you need an ad blocker for android, which WILL SKIP ads in official apk app, look here: http://scforum.info/index.php/topic,8237.msg20964/topicseen.html#msg20964 .

WARNING: do not try the "Nouns"-named Pandora installations you can find with Aptoide. They are FULL of advertisements, extremely slow and unusable :(

* POST-EDIT: on my Galaxy S3, the patched version has a bug: it does not handle network-switching well (Wifi -> 3G). It will not load any new songs. Only way out is disable all network connections, start pandora, wait for time-out, quit pandora & reconnect 3G and wait for DNS to change... Sigh. Luckily, official version does not have this problem. It does have ads, but they ARE SKIPPED by AdAway ;p Still, you have to await the skip. So first test patched version. Also problem? Go official. You need adblocking anyways :) Skipping the ad does not take too long.
