If XTREE Was Never Your Thing, DOS Was Never Your Thing, Either, AHA.

I Do Not Use All Free Storage Companies Because They Do Not *Comply* With All My Demands:

A - Logins Must Be Mandatory - Not All Companies Demand Them,

B - I Must Choose My Own Password - Not All Companies Allow That,

C - The Browser Should Be Enough To Do Uploads And Downloads ( Some Companies Only Allow Uploads Made Locally By Their Software ) - I Will Not Allow Crap Software To Enter My Machine And Decide What And When I Need To Backup - I Will Do It Manually, Thank You - If I Cross My Hands I Just Need A Mirror To Find The Culprit, Period.

Still I don't send my computer Backup anywhere, they demanding this first! I don't trust their servises![/b]

Me neither... I'm using G-Drive for some documents/files... like a 4th backup (after 2 PCs & USB-stick). ;)

...

I Have Used 100+ Of These Companies To Backup My 20+ Year Scripts - Including This Company - JUSTCLOUD.

Give Me A List Of These Companies, And I Will Be Surprised If I Have Not Used, At Least, Half Of Them.

...

Here is a list for You (but with "only" 29 Free Cloud Storage Services): http://freebies.about.com/od/computerfreebies/tp/free-cloud-storage.htm

I can't see "JustCloud", probably because it's not tr(f)ully Free. ;)

...

I Have An Old Piece Of Software ( Remember Old File Manager XTREE For DOS ? - I Use A More Recent Clone Called ZTREE ) - It Can Perform A Bit By Bit Comparison Of 2 Files To Make Sure They Are Exactly Equal.

...

Never heard... but every day We should learn something new ;) :

- "XTree": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XTree

- "ZTree": http://www.ztree.com

Thanks!

Free Storage Sites Sometimes Keep Nagging You To Go Premium - Small Price To Pay, In My Book.

These Small Companies Can Go Belly Up At Any Given Time - It Happens Every Single Day.

I Have Used 100+ Of These Companies To Backup My 20+ Year Scripts - Including This Company - JUSTCLOUD.

Give Me A List Of These Companies, And I Will Be Surprised If I Have Not Used, At Least, Half Of Them.

To Make Sure They Do Not Deliver Malware, After Uploading A File, I Download It Again.

I Have An Old Piece Of Software ( Remember Old File Manager XTREE For DOS ? - I Use A More Recent Clone Called ZTREE ) - It Can Perform A Bit By Bit Comparison Of 2 Files To Make Sure They Are Exactly Equal.

Cheers.

I have just one question how dose this Company earn money?

...

I saw that you have "conclusion" in this particular case... but some Companies offer (really) Free services/apps in hope that user will later pay for more resources/features.

For example, Free/Paid versions of AVAST AV: https://www.avast.com/compare-antivirus

or even better example (similar to service from this Topic):

Google Drive: https://www.google.com/settings/storage

As you see, 15 GB is totally Free without limitations (I use and recommend this service) but for more space you need to pay "small" fee. ;)

-

By the way, is this offer from "JustCloud" in any way better than Google's? ::)

---

P.S.

I moved this Topic to board for "Promotions", etc.:

Its all right. But as you say it should have been pointed out in the beginning.  ;)

If it to good to be true it probably is not true.
That is a good sceptic way to begin to look at something that is from some one that want to earn money.
There is no company that give anything away for free without a way for them to earn their money.  ;)

Nothing is totally free and server and storage have a cost in some way and every company want to earn their money it is the fundamental market idea.
So ware is the cost of this free cloud storage. Is it the personal integrity or advertising financed or ware do the company the money?

If something is sounds to good it probably is something you don't know, what the cost is.
