Right now, I'm not sure did you update your AV engine with using Laurik's trick (above) or you have Hotfix 982564 (VSE870HF982564.zip) for McAfee 8.7i ??
If you have mentioned Hotfix, please upload it somewhere and post download link in to your next reply.

As I see, no one doesn't have this Hotfix yet... however, my VSE 8.8 (I just checked) now use Scan Engine v. 5700.7163.
Obviously, it's updated automatically through regular updates.
