Way are peoples repenting then same thing more and less the same thing that already is a fact in the tread. I have for years ago write this and it describe the same you are saying again and again.

You need both a Antivirus and a Firewall if you want to be secure!But many Antivirus solution for home user are selling as package with both a Antivirus and Firewall normally called something like: total protection, Antivirus solution, Internet security or something like that.
That is the product you should look at if you are not an experience user or some that want to build there own package with other combinations link a Antivirus like MS-Security Essential and the built in MS-Firewall as the simplest way and cheapest way. For home user it's free.
