McAfee seems to be one of the more popular choices. I hear good things about it.

i guess the problem is caused by proxy setting.

the proxy setting is configured in user profile rather than local machine. So, the antivirus engine cannot access internet after logout

Anti-virus software must/should be updated every day.  Doing that manually is easy to forget.

Set your auto-update to update daily (e.g. at 7:00 in the morning, or a few minutes after login). Everything else is unsafe!

how should i update mcafee antivirus?
pls snd the procedure

- For Manual Update just make a right click on McAfee icon (near the clock) and click on Update Now...

- For Automatic Update also make a right click on McAfee icon, chose: VirusScan Console / AutoUpdate / Properties / Shedule / Enable... and configure as you wish.  ;)

Hope this will help you?

Regards,

S.

It depends on your McAfee's Configuration;
My computer is automatically turned on at 6:00PM and the updated is set to initiate at 7:00PM.
and it works, it works fine for me...

Kirangampala,
Please check the auto update option on your McAfee and see if you can set it auto update after 1 minute of login. It should work with no issues.

Hi,

Do I need to manually update my McAfee Antivirus? If I do not login my PC for 2-3 weeks my antivirus says it is not upto-date. Once I connect to internet, won't it get updated automatically??

Please suggest.

Thanks,
Kiran.
