Computers are tools and we should use the tool that gets the job done the fastest with no errors at all.  For many years people have been forced to use windows, but now I see mac use on the rise.  I would not be against using a mac as long as I had a good virus scanner.  I have used linux in the past and the only reason I don't use it now is I don't know of a good virus scanner.  Linux always outperformed windows, but I didn't have the equivalent of mcafee running in my linux pc.

I have never got on with Vista. At work all new PCs still come with XP as nobody wants Vista. I hope Windows 7 is more usable.

Will mainly stick with XP until I really have to change. And when the change does happen it'll probably be to Win 7 as I've spent time with Vista and on the whole the OS is too much of a resource hog and has too many incompatibilities with some of the software that I need to use...

Win 7 is pretty stable for a new OS ... but thas no way to treat customers who've paid for their product ... minimal support should still be there
