.mdb file 2003 question
« on: 21. March 2016., 18:45:37 »
.mdb database is network access.
On each computer in turn opens. However, if opened from one computer to another will not open. Without any messages. Client Settings - shared (not exclusive). Files also .accdb open normally.

What is the reason I cannot understand? Requires multiuser work with files is .mdb. When the earlier all worked fine for the 2003 office.

If you require multiple users to interact with the Database, maybe it would be better to scale up to SQL Server? You can start in Express

With the database splitter wizard you will have to split your database into 2 files front and back end. Forms and reports should be on the front end. Tables, indexes etc will be on the back end. Tables in front end should be links to the back end tables. More here: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Split-an-Access-database-3015ad18-a3a1-4e9c-a7f3-51b1d73498cc

Then you should use the tool from www.autofeupdater.com so that each user works with their own copy of the front end.
You should not use the mdb file simultaneously..

what connection do you use?
Do you check if all users access to network path with same rights?

With Quick-Reply you can write a post when viewing a topic without loading a new page. You can still use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post.
