Nature Science CBD Research: What to know about VIO broad-spectrum CBD

Broad-spectrum CBD is one of the three main forms of cannabidiol (CBD). The others are full-spectrum CBD and CBD isolate. Broad-spectrum CBD contains a range of naturally occurring compounds from the cannabis plant, but typically no tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
While CBD isolate contains just pure CBD and no other compounds from the cannabis plant, full-spectrum CBD contains all the compounds from the cannabis plant, including a maximum of 0.2% THC.
Anecdotally, people report experiencing positive effects when consuming CBD products for anxiety, pain, and other ailments.
This article looks at some of the benefits of broad-spectrum CBD.

What is broad-spectrum CBD?

Is CBD legal in my Country?… YES! CBD is legal in Europe – with some exceptions..
*Related (the legal status of CBD in Europe)
Broad-spectrum CBD products contain various compounds and cannabinoids from the cannabis plant, such as cannabichromene (CBC), cannabinol (CBN), and terpenes, such as myrcene, limonene, or pinene.
Broad-spectrum CBD typically contains no THC. However, some products will contain trace quantities.
There are several ways to extract CBD from the cannabis plant. These include:
* steam distillation
* solvent extraction
* carbon dioxide extraction
* lipid extraction
The strain of cannabis plant, its classification, and the extraction process may affect CBD’s composition.
Broad-spectrum CBD falls somewhere between full-spectrum CBD and CBD isolate. Although broad-spectrum CBD contains multiple compounds, it does not typically contain THC
Benefits of broad-spectrum vs. other forms
Unlike CBD isolate, which contains only pure CBD, broad-spectrum products may produce heightened effects because they contain additional compounds that work together. This is known as the ‘entourage effect’.
Broad-spectrum CBD does not typically contain THC, which means that it will not produce any unwanted ‘high’ effects.
Although there are some relatively recent studies about the ‘entourage effect,’ there is currently minimal specific research into the individual types of CBD or which type may benefit a particular health condition.
Below is a breakdown of some potential advantages of each form of CBD. None of these types of CBD is necessarily better than the other.
CBD isolate
* a pure form of CBD
* does not contain THC
* does not contain any other cannabinoids, terpenes, or other plant compounds
* does not have an odor or taste
Some people believe that CBD isolate is the safest to use as it is pure, but it is a highly processed product. Also, because it does not contain any other potentially beneficial compounds, it may not offer all the health benefits of full- and broad-spectrum CBD.
A 2015 study suggests that to get pain relief from CBD isolate, people may have to take much higher doses than other forms of CBD.
Full-spectrum CBD
* may produce more benefits because of the ‘entourage effect’
* not as refined as CBD isolate
* contains up to 0.3% THC
Full-spectrum CBD products contain all the compounds from a cannabis plant, including low doses of THC. This means that the ‘entourage effect’ is strongest in full-spectrum CBD products. It is also the most natural form of CBD because it undergoes less processing.
While full-spectrum products do contain THC, it should not contain more than 0.2%.
Broad-spectrum CBD
* contains other cannabinoids and terpenes alongside CBD, so may produce the ‘entourage effect’
* trace amounts of THC
The ‘entourage effect’ caused by these compounds working together may increase the likelihood that the product will produce beneficial health effects.

Broad-spectrum oils and tinctures
Below is a selection of broad-spectrum CBD oils that ensures quality and purity.
Before purchasing a CBD product, always read product labels.
A THC-free product, for instance, may still contain traces of the compound. Read carefully to avoid any misunderstandings and unwanted adverse effects.

CBD Oils
Some companies use the terms oils and tinctures interchangeably. However, they are not exactly the same. The main difference lies in the manufacturing process and how producers extract the CBD.

CBD Tinctures
Manufacturers produce a CBD tincture by soaking cannabis in alcohol, allowing them to infuse. Slowly heating the solution removes the alcohol, resulting in a CBD-infused liquid.

Summary

Broad-spectrum CBD products are a good option for people who do not want to consume THC.
Broad-spectrum products may produce more pronounced effects compared to CBD isolate due to the ‘entourage effect.’
However, as with all CBD products, research on the specific health benefits and effects of broad-spectrum CBD is still emerging.
Additional research will allow researchers to understand the effects of CBD products in their various forms.

Hello there. Thanks for sharing this option. My doctor has prescribed me to take CBD oil to improve my sleep. That's why I'm currently looking for a reliable provider. So, I'd be really grateful for your help on that, guys. The only thing I've found so far is this https://organiccbdnugs.com shop. What do you think about it? Btw, have you ever tried CBD for curing bad sleep? I've also heard that CBD gummies can also be useful in my situation. I'd be very grateful for your advice. Thanks in advance for your help.
