According to Forrester, full disk encryption will be the most piloted or adopted security technology in 2009, writes Raj Samani of ISSA UK. With national press now interchanging data loss stories with reports on an ailing housing market, this is hardly surprising.

This is a significant shift from 2005, where the Ponemon Institute's National Encryption Survey found only 4.2% of the 800 companies polled stated they had plans to roll out encryption throughout the enterprise.

I finished my reading a little bit concerned and, because of that, start my research for some good SW... after while I found great full disk encryption software from Alertsec company which provide hard disk encryption services, to protect all information stored on your organization's laptop's and PC's, starting at $9.95 per month/user.


I would like to know, what do you think about full disk encryption and is it necessary these days for some "serious" business ??

I was thinking NTFS encryption...? Never heard one actually cracking it - but also never looked for it.

I still don't know if it's secure - but I guess it still is! Yeah, MS did something right?  

Anyway, to hide your kiddyporn you better use truecrypt. A befriended police science investigator told me there's pretty much nothing they can do. Not even unhiding hidden partitions / folders. Never truly used it but all terrorists in my Banned Friend Group insist: TrueCrypt da best
