Hello,

Today's giveaway of the day is Almeza Multiset. It is used to create custom windows installation dvd's.

AND this is something I've been struggeling with for some time. I even have been ignoring and postponing it, for which I actually do not have the luxury... I most definitely could use some expert advise before I try to tackle this once more :(

Problem in short? See my comment here: http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/almeza-multiset83/comment-page-1/#comment-287170

I'll copy paste too...
"I have an original pre-activated / vlk / …. Dell SP1 Vista x86 installation DVD. I can use this installation DVD legally (!!!YES I am allowed!) on a specific set of Dell hardware. And I will NOT have to enter a serial number. This is important, because many of my Dell hardware have COA stickers for XP, not Vista. Again, I am officially allowed to do this, the COA’s have never been activated, nor should they!

NOW MY PROBLEM :(

CAN I create a Dell Vista Business SP2 x86 installation dvd with the Windows Repair options still intact AND pre-activated!???

More details of my troubles…

I even would be helped if someone WHOM ACTUALLY DID THIS (OR is very experienced with custom builds and slipstreaming / licensing problems) at least would tell me in a few short steps what I actually should do… :S

I feel dumb, but there’s just too much info and sheit online for my brains to grasp ;p

Thank you? And of course… Peace!

Devvie

:) (k) & xxx's ;)

#1 (devnullius): You could try vlite (works like nlite but for Vista/7), or Microsoft AIK (Automated Installation Disk, aka WAIK) if you haven’t done that already. The version with number starting with 6001.xxx (dated 2008 —there’s an older version 6000.xxx) takes about 1.34 GB on a DVD. Everything is explained in the Windows Vista Service Pack 2 Deployment Guide.
