Part 1Burning an Xbox Backup (ISO) to DVDOK so you've got an ISO backup of one of you Xbox games on your PC all you need to do now is burn the ISO to a DVD (preferably DVD-R). Well this guide should tell you all you need to know about the process, I'll be using Nero Burning ROM to burn the DVD-R.
Step 1 - Locate the Xbox Game ISOFirst you need to make sure you've got an Xboxgame backup ISO to burn. The file extension should be .iso. The icon for the file may vary but if you have winrar installed on your PC the Xbox ISO will probably have the winrar icon as shown in the picture below.
Step 2 - Open Xbox ISO with NeroOk now open Nero and go to file and then open, navigate the file chooser to get to your Xbox ISO, select the ISO and click open.
Step 3 - Check DVD Burn SettingsOnce you've clicked open you should see the Burn Compilation window. Click the Foreign Image tab and make sure all the numbers match the ones in the screen shot below. If they don't then you need to extract the ISO and then recreate the ISO, (See the Creating Xbox ISO Guide).
Step 4 - Burn Xbox ISO to DVDIf all the settings were correct then click on the burn tab and choose the lowest burn speed (this increases the chances of the DVD working in the Xbox). Ok Now click Burn!
Step 5 - Play Your Xbox Back UpOk once the DVD burn has finished eject the DVD from your PC and put it in your Xbox and if all went well your backup Xbox game should load up. If the backup game DVD doesn't work try burning at a lower speed (if possible)or more likely try different DVD-R media, I use Sony DVD-R 1 - 8X. If your Xbox is able to recognisee the DVD but can't play it try extracting the ISO contents and rebuilding the ISO using Quix with this Guide (
Part 2):
Part 2Step 1 - Get QuixTo create and extract Xbox Game ISO's you'll need an application called Quix which you can download from here:
http://www.teamavalaunch.com/qwix/ . Once you have Quix installed open it up and you should see the screen below. If a message about FTP connections comes up just click OK.
Step 2 - Select the Xbox Backup Game FilesClick Create ISO and choose Local Folder as the Source. Now choose the folder where your backed up Xbox files are.
Step 3 - Create the Xbox Game ISOOk now that you've selected you Xbox Game files click the create ISO button and choose the destination of you're Xbox Backup ISO. Then click Save, a few minutes later you should have an Xbox ISO ready for burning. Check the burning Xbox ISO to DVD Guide (
Part 1) for more information.
