Inspired by:
http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/leawo-dvd-creator5001/In short: this program offers (online) video to dvd creation with different templates.
It also comes with a codec-pack - which I HATE.
Are there any alternatives? For I do like the idea of this...
My first jump was to the Freemake page. They offer a video converter & a downloader for online video. They even have an instructional video on how you burn a Youtube video to dvd:
http://www.freemake.com/how_to/how_to_burn_youtube_videos_to_dvd .
Still, I wanted more ;p
According to user comments, DVD Flick is a very robust and stable video to dvd converter. One disadvantage: it seems to be sloooooooooooooow as hell :s
Link:
http://www.dvdflick.net/features.phpSo is there more? According to
http://alternativeto.net/software/dvd-flick/?license=free there is many many many more. Some programs that seem to stand out:
* Free studio 5 (
http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/)
This is just one of the many freeware tools collected in one download. Sounds interesting enough! I suspect it will secretly use Freemaker...? Let me know :)
For video2dvd, check
http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-Video-to-DVD-Converter.htm .
* Ashampoo Burning Studio Free (
http://www.ashampoo.com/en/eur/fdl/0/0/free/0)
This is primarily a burning tool, but seems to support dvd authoring too.
* DVDStyler (installation alone or with added help of Avidemux)
On
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DVDStyler, on March 02, 2012, Hoser Rob mentions a manual way of working: "My preferred method now is to use avidemux (which is really good at dealing with a wide variety of input) to convert the input to a DVD compliant file. Then use dvdstyler without reencoding."
Avidemux is a free video editor (
http://fixounet.free.fr/avidemux/).
*A very nice solution seems to be the free Win X DVD (
http://www.winxdvd.com/dvd-author/) (nothing to do with the excellent non-free dvd-x-player program). But didn't hear anything about templates...
* Movie DVD Maker (
http://www.sothinkmedia.com/movie-dvd-maker/)
---> This program would be my FIRST BET to try out... Supports templates and all!
From their site: "All-in-one DVD Authoring Tool Burns Video to DVD in One Click;
Copy DVD, Back-up DVD, and Create DVD without Quality Loss; Support H.264; Simly Edit and Convert Movies for Best DVD Enjoyment as You Like; Decorate DVD with Stylish and Customizable Menu Templates."
