Next up: Lavasoft Ad-Aware.
I DO NOT LIKE LAVASOFT!
So we'll see in the re-edit how it went ; )
Peace!

RE-EDIT:
Well... I must say, I did not have many problems on my x86 Vista laptop. Running it for over 2 weeks, I did not see many problems.
Still, it consumes a lot of memory (stats: process 1 approx. 100MB workset, peak about 160 & for process 2, the tray icon, it's about 30MB.
Still, boot times were fast. I do not complain. Also, no CPU hogging noticed.
Why removing? Although I did not encounter false positives AND I USE CHROME, I do not know how close Ad-Aware comes to 100% protection. Still, I could live with all this.
BUT I also have noticed many instances (about 15 a 20% of the time?) Vista Security Center complaining that the antivirus and antispyware programs were turned off. This is NOT the known timing-bug - only a reboot convinces Vista on those occasions that all is well. Ad-Aware itself reports all ok!
I'm going to test a new program - I'll let you know in a reply. If I go back to AA, I'll let you know in a re-edit here.
RE-RE-EDIT:
I cloned one of my Vista's to a virtual VMWare box. In VMWare, suddenly I have lot's of CPU cycling problems with Ad-Aware. I guess it does not understands its surroundings? :s So removed from Virtual Box too ;p
Again: PEACE!
